Parts10, 11 and 12Parts 10, 11 & 12 are Legal Aid parts. They are adjacent to each other. One District Court 18B "Attorney of the Day" is assigned to these three parts every weekday. The attorney should introduce him/herself to the clerk of the parts and be prepared to be present in one of the three parts. He/she should advise all of the clerks of his/her whereabouts. In the event that the attorney seeks to handle a private matter in the same courthouse, he/she should advise the clerks of this fact, and of his/her pager number. In no event should any such absence be for an extended time period, and in no event is such private time to be billed as an 18B expense. |

CourtroomsThese courtrooms are adjacent to each other and are located on the third floor at 99 Main Street.
AdjournmentsWhen the arraignment judge determines that a defendant is indigent, he adjourns that defendant’s cases to one of these three parts.
AssignmentsWhenever it appears that the Legal Aid Society has a conflict
on a particular case in Part 10, 11 or Part 12, the 18B attorney of the day
will be assigned to represent the defendant on such case. |
